- Royal Samorra (Samorra)
Respectable ground manners, easy to lunge, stands to be mounted, ties, bathes, and hauls well. Barefoot with solid feet and stands for farrier. Gets along with geldings and mares in a pasture setting, middle of the herd order. No health issues or soundness issues. UTD shots & teeth.
Butter soft gaits and contact. Rides out nicely on a loose or consistent contact. She is the perfect amount of forward without being anywhere near hot. She is slower with beginners and lesson students starting out. Takes a joke well and handles uncoordinated riders.
Samorra’s past life was very mellow. She was lightly started at 5 and when her owner moved overseas she was left to just be a well taken care of pasture boarded horse without a work life until she found her way to us. Samorra has been one of the easiest horses to bring back into work and honestly a true gem.
Not marish, has an in your pocket personality, and will come to meet you at the gate. Not barn/herd sour and loves attention/scratches.
Samorra is great on the trail and over obstacles. Ridden off site consistently in different indoor/outdoor arenas and trails. Same off property as she is at home. She has done wonderful teaching beginner/intermediate lessons on and off the lunge line. Currently ridden in a mullen eggbutt bit. She has never been ridden with spurs but does ride well with a dressage whip.
